Wales, cricket and a 1974 VW van

Like all good trips this one had its ups and downs and a few lessons learnt - as always, healthy to have a full week away from London and work and embrace some much needed sun. We nipped into Wales, out to see some cricket in England and then back in to relax for a couple of days before heading for home.

The white rose of Yorkshire against the red rose of Lancashire - enjoyed from the view of the members stand at Old Trafford.

Australian Ashley Noffke bowls to New Zealand's Hamish Marshall at Worcester:

Beaches at Gower and then Pembrokshire - in both cases our campsites overlooked two lovely spots. No tacky arcades or built up areas, just a tap, a carpark and an ice cream stall - well done Wales.

Rambling and overindulging - our specialty.

Shattered windscreen on the M5 - unhappy and frustrating times.

Zero a hundred in stalls per day, speed wobbles over 50mph, reverse harder to find than a needle in a haystack, a brittle windscreen but Maisy's bright orange aura sure is photogenic...
