Australian cricket trip

For six cricket heads it doesn't get much better than a trip to two of the greatest stadiums in the world. The full tour squad is (from left to right):

Back row: HJ Wood, DW Riley, JJ Wright
Front: FJ Wilson, AJ wOrme (Tour captain), JX Boston

At the SCG (just before some nasty person spiked our water):

Golf trip to Central Otago

Welcome to the summary of the 2004 golf tour taking in courses at Cromwell, Wanaka, Millbrook and Kelvin Heights. For the record I think I may have won thanks to a generous handicap - for my aftermatch speech, I'd like to thank Speights, the official sponsor of the tour.

Conditions were perfect for low scoring at the picturesque Wanaka Golf Club:

Dunedin

There is no better place to spend five years as a student than the world's greatest city: Sunny Dunedin.

Some of Dunedin's talented young musicians:

The scenery in Dunedin is outstanding, ranging from St Kilda beach...

...to Tunnel beach...

...to the Taeri Gorge train...

... to Mount Cargill.

And anyone's who's been to Dunedin knows the climate can be stifling...

Milford Sound

How it took me 23 years of my life to get to Milford Sound I'm not entirely sure. Scenery that genuinely takes your breath away.

Hazel, the grey lazer, made the trip from Dunedin in world record time and didn't need chains to barge through the snow either.

Kaikoura Coast Track

There was still enough autumn light for us to enjoy the private Kaikoura Coast track in our Easter break. We were certainly spoilt - having our packs carried by the local mail man and home made lemonade to greet us at plush accommodation.

The first "pass" on day 1. Great views all the way up the South Island:

Day two we plodded along to the roar of the waves and the occasional seal:

Evening on day 2 - returning back over the farmland.
