The Rabbit Hunt
Gabrielle's goal for 2010: Hunting, killing, preparing, cooking, and eating an animal.
The location: Maungati
Wikipedia says:
Maungati is a lowly populated locality situated approximately 18 miles southwest of Timaru in the Canterbury region of New Zealand's South Island. It is a small farming community in an area with primarily sheep and cattle farming and some deer farming, and it has a 9 hole golf course and Maori rock drawings.
Maungati comes from the Maori Language words "maunga", meaning "mountain", and "ti", meaning 'cabbage tree', and thus means "mountain of cabbage tree". There are many cabbage trees in the area.
There are also many rabbits.....

New Zealand - Wellington Highlights
We spent a fantastic three weeks in New Zealand in February and March. Highlights included surprising Miss Bean, hanging out with Lily and Oscar, checking out the baby bump that Erin and Che are cultivating, going on a rabbit hunt, hitting a few tennis balls, working on 'the list', walking around the Eastern suburb hills with Ms Morison and supporting the Phoenix at the cake tin.
