Sylvie Joan Jaggard - my new niece c/o Rachael and Ian

After Wellington, Dad and I headed back to Adelaide to meet my new niece Sylvie who was born on the 20th of March. Mum had gone over a few days earlier and was doing a good job as a baby whisperer.

Sylvie is a wee angel and so far is very well behaved. She also has a wicked little mohawk, just to add to her cool-factor!

Sydney - the rest

While the obvious highlight of the 5 days in Sydney was the wedding and catching up with the Australian family, we also tried to do as much sight seeing as we could. The other features of our trip to Sydney were:

• Seeing the sunset while doing the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb.


• Catching up with Graeme and Ally for dinner. Appropriately, the last time we saw them was 2 years ago in another Aussie hangout: Jack's in Cuzco, Peru.


• Being on the Manly ferry as it cut its way from Circular Quay.


• Walking from Coogee beach to Bondi.


• Swimming and sipping fresh juice on Bondi beach.


• Having time for lunch with Janine and Ben in between our respective flights.

Our blog makes 100

Creating and maintaining a blog over the past couple of years has been really satisfying for us. At a practical level, it's been a great way to communicate with our mates around the world and on a personal level, it makes us accountable to get off our butt and get out and do something with camera in hand every once in a while.

While I was home, I came across a couple of great photos of my grandparents, both taken on the main street of Timaru. I reckon they'd be pretty happy with the last 100 posts!

A splendid weekend in sourthern Spain to celebrate JJ's last weekend away as a single lad: complete with a shopping list with a years worth of weightwatcher points, more sports gear than the Australian Sports Institute and a hangover that has lasted almost three days.
